Competition Math Coaching
for Elementary and Middle Schools
We love getting the wrong answer.
Have you ever considered that getting the “wrong” answer could be a good thing? We think it is. In fact, we’ve learned that the best way to learn math is through collaborative problem-solving, in which wrong answers are welcomed because they lead you to think about the problem in new ways—and, ultimately, arrive at the right answer together.
The earlier kids learn the fun (really!) of team math, the sooner they will learn not to “hate math.” That’s why we provide no-cost coaching to elementary and middle school students using the national Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMS) program .
Who Is MathWins?
We are a group of Brooklyn Tech High School senior math majors who love math—and want you to love math, too.
Between us, we’ve managed exhibits at the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath), crunched numbers at Con Edison, represented New York City at national competitions, worked as camp counselors, and tutored dozens of students in math.
We also all play on the same ultimate frisbee team together, so we know a thing or two about teamwork! Check us out below.
